Un’ invasione di musica, piatti tipici della tradizione culinaria irlandese, giochi, danze e tanto altro, per qualcosa di unico nel bacino del Mediterraneo. L'obiettivo è da una parte quello di emulare quanto più fedelmente possibile la tradizione originale, mentre dall'altra è quello di innovare il tutto in chiave territoriale.
Sono presenti le principali attività tipiche della festa nazionale irlandese: festival di musica irlandese-celtica, parata con costumi a tema, cibi e bevande tipici (birra verde, idromele, etc.), caccia al tesoro, contest della birra, giocolieri ed intrattenimenti a tema. Numerosi inoltre le attività locali (artigiane e non) che partecipano, anche in maniera indiretta, all'evento, offrendo premi per i giochi e allestendo nel complesso un vero e proprio mercatino.
Sin dalla prima edizione il protagonista principale dell’evento è il pubblico che, venendo coinvolto in prima persona nelle differenti attività, valorizza così il luogo scelto; la location, infatti, è rigorosamente di impronta naturalistica nonché sito di interesse archeologico.
An invasion of music, typical dishes of the traditional Irish food, games, dances and much more, for something unique in the Mediterranean basin. The aim is on the one hand to emulate as accurately as possible the original tradition, while on the other hand is to innovate everything from a territorial point of view.
There are the main typical activities of the Irish national holiday: Celtic-Irish music festival, parade with theme costumes, typical food and beverages (green beer, mead, etc.), treasure hunt, beer contest, jugglers and theme entertainment. Numerous, moreover, the local activities (hand-crafted and not) that take part, even in an indirect way, to the event, offering prizes for the games and setting up a real local market.
Since the first edition, the main protagonist of the event is the public who, being personally involved in the various activities, is able to value the place that has been chosen; the location, indeed, is severely naturalistic as well as archaeological interest site.
